Snowy day

The children were very excited to go outdoors and have fun being active in the snow, sharing and cooperating in their play. They had fun making snow angels, making snow balls and pulling each other on the sledge.

Let’s count

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

We talked about  how young children learn about counting through sharing stories, games and activities.

We played a game where we rolled a dice, counted the dots and matched the counters to the dots.

We sang 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed.

We listened to a story called 10 little snowflakes.

We put 5 hula hoops on our fingers. If we ate 1 how many are left?

We made a painting with dot pattern stamps and numbers.
