P7 went to Belmont Camp earlier on in March. It was a week full of fun and learning. The children were challenged physically by climbing really tall trees and going on The Flying Fox. Outdoor learning and working together  was at the centre of everything we did.  We learned to build shelters, make a fire and cook food. To work out where we were going on walks we learned how to use a compass and read maps.
Much hilarity was had in the dormitories during breaks and after supper!Miss Angus and Mrs Wilson loved the Night Line activity where the children had to work as a team to navigate their way round an obstacle course wearing black out goggles holding on to a rope and passing instructions to each other. Look at the photos and you will see why!
We had a spooky night walk through deep puddles and mud that tried to pull your boots off. There were trees with eyes, shady horses and a haunted house !
