Thank you to the parents who helped us on our walk this week! We had a great time and we hope you did too.
We decided to go to Scotmid to develop our life skills by buying fruit for snack for the following day. On the way we were looking for numbers and signs and we discussed what they meant. We saw the numbers on the bus, on the roads, cars, houses, lamp posts and telephone box.Numbers were everywhere! In a garden we saw a car.We counted the wheels and there were ONLY three wheels. We discussed what was wrong with the car and if we would be able to use it. The children suggested many reasons for it being broken and gave ides about how it could be fixed. We talked about road safety throughout the walk and about how to keep ourselves safe. We saw Boghall Primary School where some children in our group are going after the summer.
In the shop we voted about what fruit to buy. We talked about the different kinds of fruit and the favourites were apples and bananas. Nobody wanted blueberries.
The Afternoon children posted some letters with drawings to see how long they will take. They asked for the stamps and got some change.
We spoke about the different products in the shop and where they came from.
We had great fun!
