Our project has been shortlisted for a public vote in Tesco’s ~Bags of Help initiative! Vote for us to win the top prize in store!

Vote in Tesco

Bathgate Blackburn Rd Superstore or East Calder Express Store between Thursday 1st March to Monday 30th April 2018.

This will allow us to develop out outdoor area at the school to learn about growing fruit and vegetables, the weather systems involved in outdoor activities and promote our health and well being. It will also help us to develop our language. Help reduce stress and It can help build our confidence and could possibly lead to a range of skills which would be useful when we come to look for a job later on in life.

Safer Internet day: Create, connect and share respect

The P7 Tech Team presented an assembly today on how to keep safe online.  They challenged the children to take part in a small quiz to make them aware of appropriate content for posting and sharing with family and friends.

The Tech Team handed out great advice to consider when going online. Please support each others;

be kind and respectful;

check before you share;

share positivity

and ask for help from an adult if you are worried about any online activity.

P3 News

We have had a fantastic week in P3.

We have been writing our Egyptian imaginative stories, including lots of exciting vocabulary such as ‘sarcophagus’, ‘Tutankhamun’ and ‘hieroglyphs’. We have shared our stories with our talking partners and are encouraging each other to improve our writing even more.

In numeracy we have worked a little bit on times tables and are continuing to work on measuring and comparing the lengths of different objects.

On Tuesday we enjoyed our trip to Pizza Express. We worked with Andy who gave us a tour and helped us to make our own margherita pizzas. We used mozzarella cheese and passata sauce, made with tomato and basil. It was a great morning! In the afternoon we shared our pictures from the trip and wrote thank you letters to all of the staff for making our trip great.

Have a wonderful long weekend.
