Strategy For Spelling CVC words

When we are working in our literacy groups we often play lots of spelling games.

We split up the sounds we hear into beginning sounds, middle sounds and end sounds. We often show how many sounds we can hear on our fingers, then we trace those letters onto each finger.

Here are some CVC words that you can split into Beginning, Middle and End sounds. Split the sounds up on your fingers, write down the letter sounds then put all those letters together to spell the word.
