Term 3 Celebration Assembly

Today we welcomed parents and friends along to our Celebration Assembly so that pupils could receive their STEM Super Star and Successful Speller awards.

Certificates and prizes were also given to the children who won our Bookworm, STEM and Fairtrade Junior Leadership Team’s challenges and competitions, and to the 5 pupils who represented our school at the West Lothian Burns Contest. We also announced the Top Scorers for each house, along with our house winner.

A big thank you to Hannah Rarity for inspiring us by sharing her interpretation of our school motto, Believe, Achieve, Succeed, and for sharing her journey of hard work and determination to become the successful singer she is today. Thank you also to Leah, P6, who impressed us with her own musical talents and played ‘Clowns’ for us on the piano.

Term 2 Celebration Assembly

On December 22nd, we welcomed parents and friends along to our Celebration Assembly so that pupils could receive their STEM Super Star and Successful Speller awards. We also announced the Top Scorers for each house.

A big thank you to Mr Welsh for inspiring us by sharing his interpretation of our school motto, Believe, Achieve, Succeed, and for presenting our Primary 3 pupils with their certificate for coming first in West Lothian’s Sumdog Maths Contest. Certificates were also awarded to our pupils who came in the top 50 in the competition.

Well done to all of our award winners!

Term 1 Celebration Assembly

This morning, we welcomed parents and friends along to our first Celebration Assembly of the 2017-18 session. We acknowledged the success of pupils from across the school and nursery with out STEM Super Star and, in line with our School Improvement Plan, our new Successful Speller Award. One member of each of the 6 groups from our recent Loch Insh residential were also presented with an award.

We announced the Top Scorers for each house and a big well done to Cunnigar who won the House Cup for the term.

 

Celebration Assembly- Term 2

Today we held our second Celebration Assembly to recognise the successes and achievements of children from across the school. We began with a welcome from Mr Povey, then shared the winners of our STEM Superstars and Remarkable Readers awards, as well as our top scorers and winning House- Calderwood. We also celebrated BB Bonkers’ success following their Dragons’ Den win yesterday.

A big well done to all of our award winners!

Celebration Assembly- Term 1

On Friday, we had our first Celebration Assembly of this session. Each class teacher nominated two people in their class to receive a Remarkable Reader award and a STEM Superstar award and their parents were invited along to the assembly.

We presented top scorer awards and celebrated the fact that Linhouse were our winning house last term.  Some of our pupils have also achieved their bronze and silver awards for their iAchieve level which tracks achievement inside and outside of school.

Well done to everyone who received an award!

 

Term 4: Achievement Assembly

On Friday we had our final Achievement Assembly of this session. Each class nominated one pupil to receive the Achievement Award for their class and parents and carers were invited along to watch the assembly.

We also presented Star Writer Awards, Magical Mathematician Awards, Top Scorer prizes, Smoke Free Homes certificates, ICT Awards and announced the winning house for the term.

Well done to everyone who received an award!

Linhouse Movie Star Party

Today Linhouse celebrated winning the Term 1 house cup by organising a movie themed party. Everyone in the house dressed up as a character from the movie and had a celebration in the hall, which included games, dancing, a chocolate fountain and crushed ice drinks. A big well done to Callum and Romany for organising the party, and to the P7 helpers who helped served the food and organise the games. Also a big thank you to Mrs Bokhari who helped serve the food tidy up after.

Term 4 Achievement Awards

Yesterday we had our Achievement Assembly for Term 4. Each class nominated one pupil to receive the Achievement Award for their class. Parents and carers were invited along to watch the assembly.

We also gave out Star Writer Awards, Top Scorer prizes, sporting trophies and announced the winning house for the term. The school was also awarded a certificate for our continued support for the Smoke Free Home and Zones project.
