P3/2 explored a range of different musical instruments. We used the instruments to go along with the chant from Superworm. Superworm is super long. Superworm is super strong. Watch him wiggle, see him squirm. HIP HIP HOORAY FOR SUPERWORM. Great work P3/2!

Superworm
We have had a great start to Term 3! In class we have been taking part in a book study. We chose ‘Superworm’ by Julia Donaldson. During literacy we have made predictions, created questions for the author, clarified words we were unsure of and summarised the most important parts. We then created character profiles and wrote our own animal poems. Yesterday in Science we took part in a science experiment called ‘Dancing Worms’. We made predictions about which liquid would make the worms dance and then worked collaboratively to carry out the experiment and write up a report.

P3/2 Christmas Party
P3/2 had a great time at their Christmas Party! We played lots of different games, danced and sang along to different songs. We then had a special visitor all the way from the North Pole in our class this afternoon. Check out the previous post for pictures of Santa visit and Santa Dash.

P3/2 Santa Visit and Santa Dash
P3/2 had a very exciting morning! We had a special visit from Santa Claus, who read us a story called The Night Before Christmas. We loved listening to this story! Santa then gave us all a chocolate lolly and listened to what we would like for Christmas – you can check out our pictures with Santa on our class Seesaw account.
After break, we then participated in a fun obstacle course for our annual Santa Dash. We had so much fun!

Transport Museum
P3/2 have been learning about transport from the past and present. On Thursday we visited the transport museum and had lots of fun comparing the transport from many years ago to now. We had a great day and have lots of new ideas for our class topic.
