STEM in P3/2 and P4

This term, P4 and P3/2 have been working on our STEM skills. This week, they were learning about electricity and created circuits. They discussed how to keep themselves safe when using electricity and what is needs to complete a circuit.

We have been working on our coding skills this term using Marty the Robot using block coding. The pupils were able to create a code to move Marty around the room and some created a loop code.

Some great technology skills used by all the pupils today! The pupils used their critical thinking skills to work out problems with their circuits or code and used their communication skills to work in their groups.

P4 Science

In Primary 4 this week, we investigated conductors and insulators. We predicted what objects would let electricity flow through it (conductors) or would stop electricity flowing through it (insulators). We then tested them out to see if our predictions were correct. We used our critical thinking skills to make our predictions and collaboration skills to work with our group.
