Primary 3 Prom

Primary 3 were treated to an amazing Prom last Friday night.  We were grateful for receiving so many donations to support our event.  We had an amazing photo booth, candy cart, mocktail counter, magician, caricaturist,  fireworks, disco plus much more!  With a theme of rainbows and glitter, the evening was a colourful and sparkly success.  The children had a fantastic time and the highlight of the evening was when we crowned our prom King and Queen – Dominik and Jasmin.   Lots of great memories made!  #KeepJasminSmiling

P3 Gardening

This week we have had a focus on gardening, in school. The P3s have started transforming one of the areas in our playground. There is a lot to do before our Garden Open Day in June! We also used wool to weave butterflies. Don’t they look great?

Paige- At first it was hard, but when I got the hang of the pattern it got much easier!

Jamie- I found it really to make because I listened to the instructions.

Vladas- It was fun and I really want to make it again.

Cole- I was very proud of myself and I’d love to make a bigger one for my family.

Jack- It started off being hard but the more I persevered and persevered, the easier it got.

The Story of the Little Gentleman

Yesterday morning, P1-3 watched a performance of the show, The Story of the Little Gentleman. The little gentleman was sad and lonely, and he wanted to find a friend. One day, a curious dog turned up and wanted to play.  All the boys and  girls thoroughly enjoyed watching the play.

Cole- My favourite bit was the funny way the dog ate.

Jamie- I loved all of it because it was really funny and it also made me think of friendship.

Paige- The acting was really good.

Sean Lee- I liked the start when things popped out of different parts of the box.

P3a Magnetism

P3 have been learning about magnetism, this week. We have found it fascinating! We found lots of magnetic objects in our classroom. Some of us even found some magnets at home, and brought them in to show the rest of the class. We made magnetic race tracks using a paper plate, a paper clip and a magnet, and we were very pleased with our results! We also made feathery bird magnets. Next week, we’ll be learning even more about how magnetism works!

Scottish Castle Talks

This week P3a have been busy doing class talks. We were allowed to research a Scottish castle of our choice. We’ve been sharing a lot of interesting facts about the castles we chose to talk about.

Paige- I spent hours drawing my picture of Glamis Castle. It looks exactly like the real thing!

Jack- I made sure that I had pictures to show the class. I told the class when Blackness Castle was built.

Scott- I had a clear voice and enjoyed answering questions.

Skye- I spoke clearly to whole class. I found out that Blackness Castle has battlements and is made of stone.

Cole- I learned that Balmoral Castle is very special. I shared interesting facts with the class. I felt very proud of myself.

Dylan- I used good vocabulary. I showed the class photographs and drawing of Edinburgh Castle.
