Our Skeleton

Primary 3 are learning about the human body in class. We learned all about the skeleton. Our skeleton helps us to move and protects our important organs. Did you know that when you grow to being an adult, you have 206 bones? Also, each of our hands have 27 bones in them. More than half the bones in your body are found in your hands and feet!

We had fun making skeleton pictures using cotton buds!

Today in Letham Primary School. The p7 class have been learning how to draw propaganda pictures .

On the propaganda’s p7 have took ideas of important people like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and many more.

We will tell you how we did them. First you have to have a sharp pencil, then you will have to pick who you want to draw. So now you draw who you picked. Some men were very hard to draw because of their face expressions and wrinkles. So for the end last thing is last you have to go over it with a thin pen.DSCF0011

Caribbean Costumes

We are  learning about Caribbean carnivals in P6. We had to use lots of colours and our imagination. They had weird hats and funky dresses. Some had capes some had wings. some had facepaint on and some had jewelry on and they wore brightly coloured clothing. They had lots of floats some were animated. They have loads of spots and other stuff on there dresses. Miss Wilson helped the class and four people who did really well were Lily because she had loads of detail, Mac because he had lots of colours, Liam because he had a good ideas for his work and Lee because he was getting the hang of stuff really easily.

The Vikings

The Vikings’ shields were decorated with different patterns. They used the shields to protect themselves during war. We learned that the Vikings discovered Greenland. Miss Hewlett was a brilliant help. Chloe did a brilliant job because her shield was bright and colorful and neat. The other person that did well was Cara. I really liked Cara’s shield because it it was neat and tidy. The third person that did a good job is Alex. Her shield was excellent because it was bright and bold. We always try our best .

Yesterday, our class received a parcel containing several items. These items were, a dollar, playing cards, purse, mango, coconut, papaya, pineapple, the Jamaican flag, fan, soldiers cap, coffee, Licor, Cuban flag. We also got a letter saying:”Your challenge is to turn your class into a Caribbean island”. Each table had to brainstorm ideas to make our classroom more like a Caribbean island. We learned about some of the food they ate and the water they drink. Miss Wilson helped us because she went there on holiday to the Caribbean islands and Mrs Wolfe helped us when tasting the foods. Gregor did well because he knew lots about the items in the box and knew lots about the fruits. Honey also did well because she had lots of great ideas when we where writing about what we should have in our class room to make it in to a Caribbean island.
