After a long flight we finally arrived in Kathmandu. The flight in was amazing with views over the Himalayas. We’ve had a busy couple of days sightseeing and wandering around before we go to meet the school. It really is an amazing place, everything is so different and there is still a lot of rebuilding from the earthquake. The first difference we discovered about our education is that Nepali schools are in on a Saturday! 
Wow – what an amazing place – can’t wait to hear all about it – Primary 4 are wondering if you have seen any Snow Leopards and if you would please ask the children at the school if they have seen any or can tell us about any other animals that live in Nepal??

We are having an amazing time here in Nepal. We haven’t seem any snow leopards as they live much higher ip in the mountains. The boys and girls have not seen any but tell us that there are rhinos,tigers, yaks, goats and monkeys. In Kathmandu there are lots of chickens and dogs wandering around. In the village beside our school, most people kept goats and chickens and sometimes cows.

Very interesting pets!! Most of us have pets but nothing more exotic than tarantulas and lizards (!!!!)
We are starting a campaign to install a pygmy goat herd here at Letham – they are supposed to be great animals to keep!
