Primary 3 Fairtrade Activities

Find out which fruits and vegetables in your home are grown in Britain and which are grown in other countries in the world. You can look at the label, ask someone or use a computer. Make a table showing foods grown in Britain and foods grown abroad.

Can you find find any of the countries from your table on a map of the world?

Do you have any foods at home showing a Fairtrade label? Make a list.

P2 Fairtrade Friday

Hello P2,

I hope you’re still enjoying your snowy days off! Here is a little fair trade activity that you could do today:

Try to draw out a meal: on a piece of paper or paper plate: using only fair trade products. You could have a fair trade breakfast using fair trade coffee and bananas. Use your imagination to create a breakfast, lunch or dinner, extra points if you manage to draw the fair trade logo. I can’t wait to see them!

Have fun guys!

Ms Balmer

P6 Fairtrade Friday

Good Morning P6!

I’m sure you’re all getting fed up playing in the snow and are looking forward to getting back to school!

To keep you going until Monday I’ve posted some Fairtrade activities below:

– Write a Fairtrade recipe. Research some Fairtrade products and use them to create a recipe for a Fairtrade meal or snack. Maybe a Fairtrade chocolate cake? Remember your list of ingredients and to write a clear step-by-step method.

-Design a poster to encourage people to buy Fairtrade. Remember a title, picture and key facts – not big paragraphs.

Design a Fairtrade board game. Bring it to school next week to try it out.

The Fairtrade Foundation website has lots of information to help you: https://www.fairtrade.org.uk

See you on Monday P6!
