Two Year Olds!

Having two year olds in the Nursery has proven to be very successful. With both morning and afternoon sessions. If you know anyone who may fit the criteria please ask them to get in touch with Pupil Placement at the Civic Centre, West Lothian Council.

Our two year olds are now integrated along with the 3-5 age group children they are enjoying all the experiences on offer and are learning valuable social skills from their peers. They have the same opportunities to enjoy a variety of experiences both indoors and outdoors.   They are developing social skills by meeting and making new friends, learning about sharing and turn taking. We are also developing language by reading stories of choice to the children or even just looking  at the pictures,  using flash cards and when socializing the children are learning new words from their peers. There is  a variety of resources available for the children to explore creativity and imagination. The children are also being supported in developing gross motor skills by taking part in jumping with two feet together, hopping, balancing etc.
