Today we highlighted useful information on the printouts of our chosen websites.
We had great fun using the highlighters creating very colourful pages of useful information.

Both Primary 7 classes had an amazing time during their end of year treat to Deer Park bowling.
It was fantastic to hear such a supportive atmosphere amongst the pupils as they cheered one another on and offered support and advice on how to get a ‘strike’.
The overall winner of the bowling competition was Rebecca Wood – Well Done Rebecca!
After all their hard work there was time for a tasty lunch before heading back to school.
I hope that you have all had a good rest over the holdiays and have not been partying too much!
This term we will be finishing off some of our China work and then beginning on our adventure with a Michael Morpurgo classic!
I am looking forward to transforming our minds and our classroom on our voyage!
We had 3 learning stations to move around and show our understanding of the work.
Station 1 – How much water?
After we solved the problem of leaking tubs, everyone had a chance to estimate the capacity of each of the containers, before we calculated the actual volume of water that they each could hold.
Station 2 – Real Life Problem Solving on the Laptops
Our Active Maths resource has a very good programme available on our laptops that allows pupils to make calculations and decision based on their learning, and it then allows them to evaluate the benefits or consequences of their decisions.
Today we looked at ‘Water Use’, where we had to decide how to use water in the given family’s home. Our mission was to keep members of the family happy whilst using water as efficiently as we could.
Station 3 – Textbook Re-enforcement
Deposits are paid, passport forms are in (hopefully!) and I have contacted Chateau Beamont to let them know which activities we would like to take part in when we get there!
Just a quick reminder of the payment schedule:
Initial non-refundable deposit £ 40.00 Due by 1st October 2012 PAID

We spent our first term learning about the Jacobites.
Please leave a comment below to tell of 3 thing that you learned about them.
What was your favourite lesson or fact that you learned?
Well done P7I for your efforts both in school and at home in making us the 7th best Scottish class in the competition!
Our handwriting this term is about writing at speed!
The challenges began with pencils and hands on the table, ready to start writing after the countdown!
This afternoon we thought about the weapons that everyone had researched on Monday with Mrs Heggie and chose one to try and create themselves using the resources provided.
As you can see there was a great deal of sawing, and hot glueing going on but more importantly there was great teamwork and lots of creativity.
Watch this space for the finished products!
