This session the Primary 6 children from Balbardie Primary School are Nursery Carers and visit Bathgate West Nursery School as often as is possible during the year.  They really love the experience of being good role models for the children in the nursery.  Here are some pictures of the P6 Nursery Carers in action.

The children have enjoyed learning about autumn, and used their senses to explore this colourful season. Groups have gone on autumn walks, dressed in wellies and warm coats, and have brought back a variety of leaves found in the park. We have created beautiful pictures with leaves and have also used them to make print paintings.

Creatures of the night made an appearance in our nursery…a tarantula, snake, rat, hermit crab and frog came to see us, and don’t forget about the cockroaches that skittered about on our gym mats! Don’t worry – we washed our hands after touching the animals and learned a new word: nocturnal!
