The weather outside might be frightful, but inside Meldrum things are sunny!  Our P7 pupils had a positive transition experience at Deans Community High School and were full of chat and excitement about it today when they had to come back to primary school again!  They are back to full on preparation for their Leavers Assembly which takes place next week and we are very much looking forward to seeing them perform.  Our incoming P1 had the final experience of their transition programme on Wednesday, concluding this process with a lunchtime experience.  This was a nice end to their transition and we are very much looking forward to seeing them when they join us in August.

Please note that Monday 15th is not a holiday within West Lothian so children are expected in school as normal. 

A plea to please talk to your children about ensuring that they dismount bikes/scooters before they enter the playground if they cycle or scoot to school.  There have been a few near misses recently and we don’t want anyone to be hurt.  This rule applies for both arrival and exit from school. Thank you for your cooperation.

We have planned to have another go at running our Sports Day next Thursday, although the forecast at this point still doesn’t look great.  Let’s hope that the weather presenters have got it wrong and we can go ahead!  As before, we will wait until nearer the time to make a final decision but fingers crossed that it stays dry.

A reminder that we are going to be participating in Deans Gala Day on Saturday 20th June.  The theme is “World Cup” so plenty of scope for dressing up!
