Primary 2 have had fun this week learning about countries taking part in the World Cup and looking at Scotland on map. They are excited about our Sports Day next week on Thursday 18th June.

Great Green: Recently we have enjoyed…

-Practising our 5 times table and using cubes to show our answers and discussing strategies to work out if a number is a multiple of 5.

-Visit from Mrs Lang, finding and drawing different sports that match the first letter. For example, b = basketball, baseball or t = tennis or e = exercising.

-Finding information on Scotland, we discussed where Scotland is in the World, on the globe, in an atlas and using Google Maps.

Think Pink: Next week we will work on…

-Guided writing, remembering not to rush and remember core targets such as finger spaces, full stop and capital letters.

-Being good sportspeople, remembering to try our best in all activities and showing care and grace if your team wins or not.

Lead Learners:

Well done to Ellie and Annie for being super lead learners this week. They have been helping others in literacy, sharing ideas and reading with friends.

Our lead learners next week are Eilidh and Callum. They have been responsible learners, persevering when things get tricky or they are presented with a challenge!
