Meldrum Primary School Blog

P7 Friday 17th April

Primary Seven have mixed emotions as we begin our final term at Meldrum. However, we have lots of exciting activities and events ahead.

P7 have been learning how to debate. We split into teams to debate “Should pupils have one less day at school?”.

We played rounders outside for P.E. on Tuesday with Mrs Harris. We worked in teams of four to practise batting, throwing and fielding.

In Numeracy we did our rich task, where we answered if a given 3 digit number was even, odd, a prime number, a square number and then listed its factors. Primary 7 were also doing Daily 10 to practice their tables.

In Art Primary 7 were learning about Earth Day which is on the 22nd of April. On that day, we address environmental issues and wars going on around the world affecting oil supplies. Then primary 7 made a pop-up card to celebrate this day.

Great Green (Things that went well)

  • Improvements in the recall and accuracy of times tables.

Think Pink (Things we want to get better at)

  • More practise at responding to others when debating.

This week our Lead Learners are Adam and Karah for demonstrating Responsibility across learning.  Well done!

They have decided that next week they will be looking for respect in our dealings with others.

(Thank you, James, for writing this Blog)
