P2/3 HWB- Friday 27th March 2020

Health and Well-being

Time to go for a walk, get some fresh air and some exercise.

I challenge you to look out for rainbows that have been drawn by children and adults all over the country and put in windows.

Can you count how many you see? Can you take pictures of the ones you see and share with others?

Can you make your own if you have not already? I will upload my one to twitter.

I look forward to seeing all of your rainbows!

P1 – 27/03/20 Numeracy Tasks

Hello again everyone, hope you enjoyed your final PE lesson of the week.

Don’t forget to listen in to the story of “Hank’s Pranks” during Elevenses with David Walliams at 11.00am. Sounds like fun!!

Audio Elevenses

Now try some money activities:

  •  Take turns with an adult or brother or sister to think of a coin and describe it using size, colour, shape and number of sides. If they guess correctly, then it’s their turn!
  • Try some of the “Cashing in” activities up on Doorway Online up to 10p

http://www.doorwayonline.org.uk/activities/cashing-in/cashing-in.html

  • Now try to identify as many different ways as you can to make 10p using real coins if you can. Record these in your jotter by drawing around them and labelling the value of each coin.

Thank you all for having a go at remote learning this week. Remember to leave a comment to let me know how you have been getting on.

Take care and have a lovely weekend!

P2/3 Literacy – Friday 27th March 2020

Good morning P2/3,

Happy Friday! Your first challenge of the day is to teach someone in your house a Friday song and dance! If you can, record it and share with me on Twitter!

Your word boost for this week is Midnight superhero. Listen to the story on youtube and discuss with your parents our word boost words for this week. Attached to this post is your word boost worksheet, if you can print it and complete it – Fantastic. If you can, complete the questions in your jotter.

Next: Write an imaginative story about a superhero that you have made up. What is their super power? What is their name? Where are they going? Who are they with? What are they doing? Who are they saving?

P2/3 Five Minute Box

Afternoon P2/3

Hope you are all having a good time and not missing school too much.

Hi to my Five minute box pupils.

I hope you are all keeping up the amazing work in your purple books.

Please work on the individual tasks stuck into your book no1 before going onto the new book2 tasks.

It’s important to only do a little at a time, don’t try to do too much all at once.

Remember It’s also important to look back over all the lovely work tasks you’ve already done. Revision is very important too.

Please send any questions you have and also share an updates on how you are getting on.

Would be lovely to hear how it’s going👍🏼

P2/3 Art – Thursday 26th March 2020

Art time!

Today i challenge you to design and draw your own Ancient Egyptian sarcophagus. Remember a sarcophagus was a coffin for the Ancient Egyptians. They were usually decorated with hieroglyphics and painted with bright colours.

You can use paint, crayons, pens or pencils. I would love to see some of your art work posted on the school twitter or added to the comments below.

Here are some designs that you might want to have a look at.
