Dear Parents/Carers
West Lothian based author Paul Walsh will be visiting our school on Thursday 18th November, to help us celebrate Scottish Book Week. He will be reading P1-4 pupils his new book ‘The McScarf’s’, performing live ‘The McScarf’s’ song and supporting the children with a short creative writing session.
‘The McScarf’s’ is about a Clan of ten Scottish animals who take readers to visit ten modern and historic locations around Scotland! ‘The McScarf’s’, written in scot’s, is an introduction to Scotland, showcasing modern cities such as Edinburgh to see the Castle, and Glasgow to see a traffic cone…wait, what? The Clan also take us for a flying visit to Loch Lomond, St. Andrews for a spot of Golf, and Glencoe to ‘bag a munro’!
If you wish your child to receive a personally addressed and signed copy of the book for a discounted price of £7.99 (usually £10.99) please complete the slip that will be sent home on Tuesday 16th November. Please note that all orders are to be made by Friday 19th November.
Please find link to what Primary 1/2 have been learning this session. They have been doing lots of super work and learning every day. They are a very bright bunch!

Hello again everyone, can’t wait to see your “Back to School” alphabets. Were sure you came up with some great ideas!!
Now it’s time to relax and listen to today’s story, “The Library Lion” by Michelle Knudsen.

Let’s get active and count as we join in with counting to 100.
Try to use everyday objects from around your home e.g. cubes, counters, lego, small toys etc. to help if you need it.
Finish off by playing the Number Bonds for 10 game and then increase the target number to 20 if you are feeling confident.
