P2/3 Maths – Wednesday 13th May 2020

Maths time!

Triangles and squares – today we are still focusing on our times tables, however, we are going to revisit arrays. Now, if you cant remember what arrays are, here is an example.

What i would like you to do today, is to get outside and collect as many stones, leaves or sticks that you can. How many different arrays can you make for the 5 times tables. Take pictures of your designs and write them down is you can!

Circles – I would like you to go on a nature walk, have a look for groups of two in nature eg 2 birds, 2 slugs, 2 flowers. Take pictures of your groups of two.

P2/3 Literacy – Wednesday 13th May 2020

Bonjour la class,

I hope you are all feeling great this morning!

Masterminds – This morning i would like you to practice your dictated sentences. You will need a partner for this. Your partner needs to say sentences that include one word from your spelling list aloud to you. You need to write the sentence from memory. This is something you all have lots of practice doing. Try and remember all the correct punctuation.

Brightsparks – This morning i would like you to log onto Sumdog and complete a spelling challenge that i have set for you. It will be named ‘Brightsparks Spelling Challenge 13/05/20’.

Genius Gems – This morning i would like you to rainbow write and pyramid write your spelling words for this week. Remember, when you are rainbow writing, you are changing the colour of your pen or pencil for each sound, not each letter.

P2/3 Literacy 12/05/20

Good morning boys and girls. Let’s start the day with our workout with Joe.

After a rest and catching your breath you can make a start on your literacy task which is a comprehension task linked to the body: Dem bones dem bones.  There are 3 sections and the questions are at the bottom of each page. You can discuss your answers with a partner and write some answers in your jotters.

Let’s have a terrific Tuesday!
