Good morning everyone!
Warm up with Joe!!
Remember to have a rest and a drink before literacy.
Today we will continue with the j sound
- Join in with the Jolly Phonics song and action for j – wobble a jelly on a plate
- Now listen to this story using lots of j words
- Try to identify as many words using the j sound as you can – can you think of 10?
- Share them with a family member
- Complete the 2 j activities on Study Ladder – 9th June – Phonics j
- Now choose 3 j words write a sentence for each one on your jotter e.g. I like jam.
- Try to make your sentence more interesting by including an adjective or a connective – and, but, so, because, then e.g. I like strawberry jam but mum does not.
- Remember to use a capital letter at the start and a full stop at the end of each sentence
- Don’t forget to write neatly
I will check in with you again before numeracy.
