    We have been learning about Christmas around the World. To celebrate the different cultures in our classroom, one of our classmates taught us about his Christmas traditions in Romania. We took part in a fun quiz to test our knowledge, learned a traditional Romanian carol song and made our own Sorcova tissue flower for New Years.

  • Christmas in Spain with P4/5

    In P4/5, one of our classmates taught us about her Christmas traditions in Spain. She shared some interesting and fun facts! We took part in a fun quiz to test our knowledge, sang two carols; Noche de Paz (Silent Night) and Mi Burrito Sabanero. We learned about the Three Wise Men who visit Spanish children on the night of the 5th of January, delivering gifts or coal. We then played a fun game of pasar el paquete (pass the parcel), where one of our classmates got a gift from the Wise men and another unluckily got coal. It was a

  • Catholic Education Week Mass

    On the 25th of November a group of children represented our school at the Catholic Education Week Mass in Edinburgh. They had a lovely day travelling by train and attending a special Mass at the Cathedral. We went to the shop afterwards and purchases rosary beads and prayer cards for each class. All children were a credit to our school and we were so proud of how they showed our school values. Some members of the public even commented on how kind and well-mannered they were!  Well done everyone!

  • #TheLifeOfTay

    Well….! Welcome to our final post of 2025! We have had the most amazing first term in our school. We have made friends. We have played, and learned inside in our classroom, the gym hall, the sensory room, and outside in the mud, the sand, the water, the sun and the rain. We have experienced sounds, letters, numbers, shapes, music and sensory experience. We have had a ball! We wish you all the most restful holiday period. We look forward to your continuing following our #TayTravels, as we embark on #TayTermTwo in 2026. An adventure awaits!

  • Term 2 Swimming 🏊‍♂️

    More swimmers have been making a splash at Bathgate Xcite this term. Our second Friday morning group recently completed their 5 week block with Ethan, Hira and Madison achieving their Aqua Bronze Award and Teddy receiving a progress award. 2 of our senior pupils have also been swimming on a Thursday afternoon. Fletcher achieved his Aqua Bronze Award and Alex achieved his Aqua Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Awards! Well done everyone, we are all super proud of you! 🌟

Fixed: PDF Issue

The PDF Issue that recently developed on Glow Blogs has now been fixed. PDFs can now be uploaded as expected without any workarounds.

Glow Blogs Update 30 Sep 2025

Glow Blogs has been updated to WordPress 6.8.2. This update is mostly a behind the scenes one, you might not notice much difference.

Fixed: PDF problem

An issue with pdf uploaded to Glow Blogs has recently developed. Our developers are looking at the issue to create a fix. The issue is that pdfs uploaded to Glow Blogs are ‘truncated’ to one page. We hope this is fixed soon. There are a few workarounds you can use in the meantime.
