  • P3 Week Beginning 3rd November 2025

Hello P3 families! Here are this week’s learning highlights from The Red Pandas: Leighton  and Daniel said they loved making the instructional drawing firework picture and choosing a sound word for the inside of their firework.  Some onomatopoeic words suggested were: boom, crack, fizz, pop, bang, zip…. Tyler T said the highlight of his learning this week was our work about the long u sound oo/ew/u_e.  The children drew pictures to match a story which had many of these long u sounds within it, looked up recipes for our own cookbooks and some children used blocks to recreate pews within …

  • A Fun-Filled Visit to the Local College! 🎨🌿

Primary 2/3 had the exciting opportunity to visit West Lothian college last week, to take part in a fantastic play-based and outdoor learning experience. The children had a brilliant time exploring the college’s playroom, getting creative with Halloween-themed crafts and artwork, and enjoying lots of fun outdoor activities. Their enthusiasm and imagination were on full display throughout the morning! A big thank you to the college students who looked after our children so well. They provided a warm, supportive environment and gained valuable hands-on experience to support their own learning and development. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved

It was a special occasion — the very first time our team played together, after just two training sessions. And what a morning it turned out to be! We played three exciting matches: Match 1: A solid start with a 0–0 draw. Match 2: A narrow 1–0 loss, but great effort all round. Match 3: A fantastic 3–2 win to finish the morning on a high! Every single player gave it
