Christmas Carolling
P6/7 have been investigating Christmas in Bulgaria. As part of their learning the learned a Bulgarian Carol and want ed to share their learning with the rest of the school. Our Toronto choir visited Braid House this week to perform some Christmas carols for the members there. We loved sharing our Christmas spirit, joy and singing with them.Christmas Party Time
P4, P4/5 and P5 let their hair down for their Christmas party this week. They enjoyed some Scottish dancing, party games, snacks and some Christmas music and dancing. We all had a ball, and are totally in the Christmas spirit now!Christmas Wishes from all at SJO!
Well, what a busy final two weeks at St John Ogilvie PS.ย We have had so many different festive events and we are so proud of all of our wonderful pupils who have really embraced the Christmas Spirit.ย Some of our highlights have been: P1 Nativity – Two amazing performances of Cheeky Cherubs followed by P1 visiting St Peter’s to share their wonderful singing with the Parish. Toronto’s Language Ambassadors set the whole school a Christmas challenge over the month of December. Their challenge was for every pupil to design a Christmas bauble that shared some traditions or language from another country. The designs we received were fabulous. it was so hard to choose winner. The baubles depicted traditions and languages from all over the world and was a super representation of the cultures and languages spoken in our school – Bulgarian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Polish to name just a few. Primary 1 got our festive week off to a great start with our Christmas ๐ party. We played games, had party food and even got a visit from Santa ๐ ๐ป We baked some Christmas ๐ cookies ๐ช in class, this was very messy but so much fun! We had to follow the instructions carefully and use lots of skills. On Thursday we enjoyed watching the Primary 4 to 7 Christmas ๐ concert. We all really enjoyed the performance. Throughout December our Elf ย has brought us lots of fun and today he confirmed we are all on the Good List. SparklesLatest News

In the most recent update to Glow blogs we updated the version of Jetpack that we use. Jetpack no longer supports Additional CSS. Glow Blogs has just had a fairly large update. Glow Blogs is now using wordPress 6.6.2. This bring quite a lot of new features, especially to the Block & Site Editor. Quite a few plugins have been updated too.H5P Issue Some content types cannot be installed
