IMS Primary Play Day

On Wednesday, 13th May, the annual IMS Primary Play Day brought together around 150 talented young primary musicians for a fantastic day of creativity and musical collaboration. With a focus on fun and inclusion through the shared joy of music-making, the energy throughout the day was electric. The pupils threw themselves into intensive rehearsals, working incredibly hard while having an amazing time connecting with peers from across the region.

The young musicians spent the day honing their skills within either the Concert Band, the String Orchestra, or our Fundamentals of Music ensemble. All that dedication and hard-work was on display in the afternoons, spectacular finale performance at the Hamilton Townhouse. The concert was made even more inspiring by a wonderful guest appearance from the pupils of Greenburn School, who performed brilliantly with the fantastic support of “Hear My Music.”

The IMS would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participating schools, staff, and families. Your continued partnership and support are vital in helping us promote and celebrate music making within South Lanarkshire.
