Just a quick reminder that Parents’ Night is tomorrow night.

Your child will have brought home a appointment time.  If you are unable to make it, or find that you are running late, please feel free to give us a call and we can let the teacher know.

The pupil council will be available in the foyer to help you on your arrival.

We look forward to meeting you all, tomorrow night.

Radio Show

Hi all,

The first edition of this year’s Hallside Radio Show will be broadcast on Tuesday 6th November from 10-11am.

We will broadcast on Camglen Radio.  You can listen in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen area by tuning int0 106.6fm or, if listening further afield, on camglenradio.org.

We will be following in our tradition of bringing you the latest news from around the world as well as all the latest goings on from inside Hallside.  There will be great chat, great music and an interview with a Radio Clyde DJ.

Pupil Council Elections

I have provided all of your teachers with details of the Pupil Council elections that should take place this week.

This role is a vital and extremely responsible one.  Pupils who put themselves forward and are elected must be ready to work hard, able to listen, be able to speak to others, including large groups, have ideas for the school, be responsible, always be very smartly turned out and generally represent the school well at all times.

Speeches and campaign posters can be made (no bribing with sweets though!) to canvas the support of your fellow classmates.  All results should be with be by Friday 24th Aug and we’ll announce the results both at next week’s assembly and, of course, at my blog.

I look forward to our first meeting of the new session.
