Well done and thank you!

Well done and thank you to the members of the parent council and the school support staff for a brilliant spring tea this morning.  A vast and amazing array of homebaking and some amazing entertainment from our string players (Eilidh McEwan, Paul Sime, Euan Sweeten, Ellie Beattie, Sophie Crichton, Angus Robb, Courtney McKillop, Ashley Rinn, Shaw Laird, Sarah Ross, Leah Jo Robson, Lauren Thompson) and our talent show singing winners (Sam Glover, Alison Gannon, Emma Curr, Anais Sneddon, Lauren Mackay, Yasmin Chauhdry) has led to the raising of a brilliant:

£332.10

Thank you to all who came, listened, ate and donated!

Whole School Photo

As you may have noticed we had a grandstand built in the playground on Thursday to have our whole school photograph taken.  It was great fun to do and the photogrpaher, Keith, was immensely impressed with the behaviour, attitude and patience of the pupils as he put together a photograph with over 570 people in it!!!

Here is a taster of what it will look like as we were still getting children into position.

Spring Tea

Just a reminder that the Parent Council are organising a Spring Tea on Monday 20th May @ 9am.

If you can come along you will get a nice cuppa, some cakes and a rare chance to see the winners of our singing talent show, as well as the Hallside string players.

Tickets can be ordered through the school office.

Hope to see you there.

The British Weather

Yesterday’s update from the P7s included the words ‘monsoon’ and ‘drookit’ !!!

The activities are still going ahead and everyone still enjoying themselves (well the pupils anyway!).  Some water based activities have had to be changed but the joy of mud is being fully embraced!

More updates later.
