Back to School

Well, it’s back to school for everyone tomorrow (Wed 14th Aug).

Excited?

Looking forward to seeing you all and hearing all about your summer adventures.

Can’t wait to see all our new P1s who are starting at 9.30 tomorrow.

Good luck to any of our former P7s who are starting S1 and checking into the blog.

Let the fun begin!

Summer Time

Well everyone, it’s summer time and it’s time for everyone to recharge their batteries.  We hope you all have a great summer break. Have a great holiday if you are going away anywhere or enjoy relaxing at home if that’s the plan.

Well done to everyone for their hard work this year, for their participation in all of our brilliant after school clubs, for the fabulous drama show, Grease, a great sports day and every other achievement throughout the session.

Farewell to our P7s.  I wish you the best of luck for your move to high school.  You’ve been a great P7 year group and you will be missed.

Have a brilliant summer everyone and we’ll see those of you coming back to Hallside on the 14th August!

Sports Day 2013

Well done to all of the pupils and teachers from P3-P7 who spent today competing in the annual sports day.  The sun was shining, the music playing and the children running!

Thank you to all of the friends and family members who came along to watch and cheer us on.

The afternoon session finished right on 3pm so some of the younger classes may not have heard the final result, so here it is with the P3 & 4 scores combined with the P5,6 & 7 scores:

1st Yellow Team  405 pts

2nd Blue Team  385 pts

3rd Green Team 375 pts

4th Red Team 270 pts

Eco Day of Action

Well done to all the pupils, staff and parent volunteers who worked so hard to make a big difference today.

From 60 minutes of darkness and no computers during our earth hour to digging, creating scarecrows, making bird houses and bird feeders, birdwatching, litter picking, recycling and building a bug hotel.  Surely that green flag is bound to follow soon!!!

Have a great holiday weekend, I think you’ve all earned a rest.
