Primary 7 have had a busy last week at Sound. They started the week at the football and netball tournament. Netballers came second overall and our footballers made it to the quarter finals.
Later in the week they had their leavers assembly where their parents were treated to drumming, singing and poems.
Ms Morris’ group went geocaching around Sound. They had a great time and found lots of goodies. They also made their own geocache and have hidden it around Sound. Look out for it in the holidays if you plan to geocache.
P4-7 have been taking part in Wider Achievement workshops. Friday afternoons are spent developing practical skills around the school to support the development of our young workforce. We have a local artist working with a group line drawing, Shetland Senior Football coaches and players with a group of enthusiastic young footballers, Joy Duncan delivering African drumming sessions, Science teachers from the AHS working on chemical reactions, Mr Rose and his flying workshop, geocaching, photography, journalism club and gardening. Super fun on Fridays!
Primary 1 had a super trip to the street to see the Jarl Squad march in ower on Up Helly Aa day. They also managed to see the window display they made for Harry’s shop window. Thanks to all our parent helpers who came too.
Our P5, 6 and 7 attend Christmas parties at Edward Thomason House, Taing House and the Sound Hall with members of our local community. They all had a lovely time.
