P6/7 had a fantastic time taking part in a robotics and maths workshop with Eleanor Hutcheson. We explored perimeter, diameter and radius, and used our measuring skills to work out how far our robots would travel based on the perimeter of their wheels. Using precise coding, we set our robots off from a black line and tried to land as close to the Lego man as possible without knocking him over – a challenge that required real teamwork and problem-solving.

Congratulations to Lucian and Jenna, who came first place! We then moved on to an even trickier task, carefully programming our robots to complete a circuit around shapes we had created on the floor using masking tape. Everyone worked incredibly hard, and it was a brilliant day of learning, challenge and fun.
