Pupil Health and Wellbeing

Pupil Health and Wellbeing

At Tingwall Primary School, we know that happy, healthy children learn best. That’s why we place a strong focus on the health and wellbeing of every pupil in our care.

We aim to create a safe, caring and supportive environment where children feel valued, respected and ready to learn. We believe that helping children to understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and develop healthy habits is just as important as academic learning.

How We Support Pupil Wellbeing:

  • Emotional Support – Our staff are trained to support children with their feelings. We have a caring pastoral team, and pupils know who to talk to if they are worried or upset.

  • Healthy Lifestyles – We encourage healthy eating, daily physical activity, and regular outdoor learning to support both physical and mental health.

  • PSHE (Personal, Social, Health & Economic Education) – Our curriculum helps children learn about themselves, others, and the world around them in a positive and age-appropriate way.

  • Friendship and Kindness – We promote kindness, inclusion, and respect in everything we do. Our school values help children to build strong friendships and feel part of a caring community.

  • Working with Families – We work closely with parents and carers to make sure every child feels supported at school and at home.

If you would like to find out more about how we support health and wellbeing here, or if you have any concerns about your child, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
