P7 pupils put their enterprise skills in action, setting up stalls offering games to raise money for Children in Need. P5A thoroughly enjoyed the burpee challenge. The pupils even got to meet Pudsey himself. Well done to everyone who took part and raised money for Children in Need.
P5A met with their P3A reading buddies and enjoyed reading stories together in our school library. This is a great opportunity for pupils to learn from each other and gain more confidence in their reading whilst supporting a fellow pupil.
Our topic this term is Space, where we have been learning about the Sun, Moon, constellations and planets. Pupils did a great job creating these solar system pictures, placing the planets in the correct order from the Sun.

We have been learning about the properties of 2D and 3D shape in maths this term. After learning to draw 3D shapes, pupils tried making 3D models using wooden sticks and blue-tack. Pupils really enjoyed making cubes, triangular prisms and squared-based pyramids. Some pupils even started to build houses with the resources.
After learning about insects, Primary 5A used their wildlife area to gather up materials (leaves, twigs, stones, berries) to create their very own outdoor insect pictures.
We have been learning lots about invertebrates in our Living Things topic and the pupils were able to work together and find a whole host of invertebrates (minibeasts) living in our wildlife area. Pupils were very respectful of their minibeasts habitat and took care to return any rocks or stones back where they found them.
This week we have been revising our 2D and 3D shape and learning about the properties of a shape. We went outside and searched for shapes that make up our environment. The pupils had a great time taking their learning outdoors.
This week we have been learning about living things in our topic, including the different animal groups. In groups, pupils chose an animal group to research and create a poster. They are looking great and we can wait to see the final products.
