PRIMARY 7

What a brilliant last week at Sound.  Our Primary 7 class organised fun activities for the whole school.

We wish them all good luck as they move on to the next stage of their education.  Thank you 😁

Well done Primary 7!

Congratulations to Primary 7, who have won the Climate Smarter Challenge 2025, winning £150 for future STEM projects.  The whole class have been working hard on their model over the last few weeks, showcasing all of their talent and skills. The STEM club have had a fantastic day taking part in lots of STEM challenges and did a fantastic job of showcasing their model.  Well done to everybody!

Athletics

Today we started our athletics block, focusing on running events.  We spoke about different lengths of races requiring different techniques.  We  started with a 6 minute run, trying to pick a pace that we could maintain throughout the time.  We then performed in sprinting games in small groups, where we had to use bigger arm and leg movements to be able to run faster.

Handball

**UPDATED 4/4/25 WITH PICTURES**

P7’s have been doing handball in PE.  It is a new activity to us, but we have a lot of skills already learnt we could bring to this game, like throwing and catching, spatial awareness, team work, cooperation, decision making, cue recognition, respect and many more.

You could ask your child the following questions –

  • What have you been learning?
  • How have you been getting on?
  • What do you need to do next?

Here we are playing games on the last day of the block.
