P5 have learned a new song called ‘Hey You!’ written by Joanna Mangona for the Charanga music scheme. The song is made up of two verses using two different voices – rapping and singing. In the videos below you can see the class performing the song with an instrumental section where they are playing xylophones and glockenspiels. You will also see the class signing each verse using BSL.

 

 

Our next step is to work individually or in pairs to compose a short melody for the instrumental section using only 5 notes CDEFG. This will be shared with you soon!
