The 22nd of April was Earth Day and we learned a song called ‘Give The Earth The Care It Needs’. We also added some actions and below is a clip we’d like to share.

New Song: I Like The Flowers
We have learned a lovely Spring themed song in Music recently called ‘I Like The Flowers’. Here is a clip of the class singing the song with actions.
Happy New Year Everyone!
P2/3A have learned a new song to wish everyone a happy new year! After learning the melody and the lyrics, we learned how to read a basic graphic score which showed us which instruments should be playing at different parts in the song.
We used percussion instruments as part of our song and we each had a turn of playing all four – boomwhackers, tambourines, triangles and claves.
Here they are in action!
Wear A Poppy
In our last music lesson the class learned a song for Remembrance Day called ‘Wear A Poppy’. Below is a video of the children performing the song with actions for each verse. What a great achievement for one lesson!
Fireworks, Fireworks, Bonfire Night
We recently learned a song all about fireworks and Bonfire Night. After we had learned the words and the melody, we also learned how to follow a graphic score. This showed us pictures of percussion instruments to play and when to play them. We worked in small groups to play our instruments and then we had the chance to move round different music stations. In the video you can hear us singing the song and playing four different pieces of percussion – boomwhackers, tambourines, maracas and claves.
