Eleanor came to see us again and help us develop our circuit building skills!
Thank you so much. We loved using our problem solving skills and working together. Especially when we can make things fly!

Hello all!
Our topic this term is inventions and inventors, which gives us lots of opportunities for STEM projects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
This week we have been focusing on the wheel, and discussing how an inventor thinks.
We made bottle cars, and it took a huge amount of teamwork and problem solving to get the wheels turning freely.
That led us to think about how inventors and engineers can share their ideas so people don’t have to start from scratch every time. We used the measuring skills we’ve been working on in maths to create accurate schematics of our cars.
I love it when our areas of learning overlap like this!

We had such a fantastic time putting on our Through the Decades show! So much learning happens when we work together to create a show, and I’m incredibly proud of every single one of you.
Thank you so much to everyone who came and saw the performance. Here are some pictures of our fabulous cast.
Enjoy your Easter break!

Not the best weather for walking down to the museum today, but everyone managed really well. A big thank you to all the parents for your efforts in sending everyone rigged right!
We had a fantastic time getting a tour of the galleries from Donna, and I’m very reassured to hear that most of the children think school now sounds better than school in the 50s.
We also had a workshop from Ellie, and learnt loads about how historians use evidence from primary sources to help them understand the past.
Definitely worth braving the weather for!

Hello again, another beautiful snowy morning!
I hope you’re all enjoying the weather, as well as staying safe and warm. I don’t know about you, but for me there’s no nicer feeling than warming up with a hot drink when you come in from the cold. I’d love to see some pictures, so you can e-mail them to the school, share them on our team, or just bring them in when we’re all back!
Here is your learning grid: Snow-Grid-P4-5-5th-January-2026 (1)
Looking forward to seeing you soon.

We performed our assembly to P4 and P5 on Friday. We had lots of fun writing the script, working out costumes and rehearsing so we could perform confidently.
We use so many different skills when we create and share a performance, but for me what stands out is teamwork. Everyone worked so well together and did their part beautifully!

Today Eleanor from Science Skills Academy came to deliver a workshop on space and robotics.
We programmed robots to model different types of satellites orbiting the Earth. Wow!
Fantastic problem solving, communication and teamwork skills!
Brilliant way to wrap up our space topic this term.
Thank you so much Eleanor.
