A reminder that HIIT sessions will begin again following the S5/6 prelims.  The first session will be Thursday 23rd February at 3.45pm.  In the meantime have a go at the following HIIT at home and see if you can encourage a family member or friend to join you!

  1. High knees
  2. Crunches
  3. Mountain Climbers
  4. Single Leg Bicycle Crunch
  5. Split Plank

Have a go at 30 seconds work/30 seconds rest and repeat the circuit 4 times.  Make sure you warm up first.   Good Luck.

Higher Quick Test – Check your answers following our class discussion and make any changes you feel necessary.

  1. Name 3 sub factors from each of the 4 main factors.
  2. Choose 1 from each of the above factors and give examples from a game situation of the impact to performance.
  3. Give 2 methods of data collection for each of the 4 factors.
  4. Choose 2 different methods and explain why you would use this method.  Try to come up with 3 points for each.
  5. Name a standardised fitness test.
  6. How would you use the data/results from your test?
  7. Give 3 points of description of a GOS that you have used.
  8. Give 1 feature of a model performance from each of the 4 factors – choose an activity, what would you see?
  9. Choose an activity and choose 2 factors – how do you compare to the model performer.
  10. Name 2 approaches to develop performance from each of the 4 factors.
  11. Choose 2 approaches and give 3 points of analysis for each approach.
  12. Give an example of a short/medium and long term goal.
  13. What might a performer consider when setting goals to develop performance?
  14. Give 1 method of monitoring and recording performance development.
  15. Give an example of a 6 week PDP.
