Week 1 It’s the Fire Festival!

We’ve had a super week preparing for the Fire Festival.  All our classes have been learning about our Viking heritage and enjoying making helmets and shields.  They have also done some excellent artwork.
The Jarl squad, led by Harold Grey cloak, looked fabulous in their green kirtles and cloak and leather work breastplates.
They performed Bad Moon Rising and we sang a fun song called We Can’t Forget About the Vikings which was full of words we use everyday which come from Old Norse.
The Jarl presented our special star badges and we were delighted to see two of our pupil shield designs on the galley.
