Week 7

P1/2 have worked hard this week. P1s have been counting forwards and backwards to and from 20, with P2s working on sequences to and from 100.

In our Creative Curriculum  we have been linking Science and RE by using materials to make a model of a shelter for Baby Jesus. These are some of the pictures. We had to use various items to represent the baby Jesus in our shelters. We enjoyed looking at the model crib and making our own designs.

P3/4 had a go at conkers, kindly brought in by parent helper Mr Goddard.
We’ve been recording the weather this week using our own rain guage, thermometer and sources online. Lots of great learning and discussion around how we do this and filling in the table with the information.
We have also been learning about alphabetical order and looking things up in a dictionary.
And of course busy with practicing the Christmas play. 🎄

P56 had a great week learning about report writing, light and money. Students created colour wheels to demonstrate how colour and light work together. Students created budgets for both the school tuck shop and they used Tesco online shop to budget for meals. It has also been great to watch the students work so hard preparing for the Christmas show. Well done P56.

P6 7 have been learning about white light and refraction. We made spectrum wheels to demonstrate white light. We also tried Newtons prism experiment. We worked on our multiplication, spelling and started our new writing project, logbooks.
