Week 7 – science, blending and concert rehearsals

Well done to our star badge winners this week and our 8 gymnasts who took part in the gymnastics competition last weekend.
This week p12 have been practicing blending and matching words, doing PE outdoors, drawing club on the pink panther and creating a large advent calendar.  P34 have been working hard at subtraction, designing a new toy and enjoying basketball, p56 have got stuck in to their topic on the World Cup and the human body.  They have been doing fun experiments about the respiratory system and doing detailed drawings on this.  Finally p67 have been doing survival swimming and rescue, the respiratory system making model lungs, and doing active maths using knex to explore angles.
With just over a week to go our school concerts are looking good and will be excellent.  We will be running a fundraising hamper raffle again on concert night and donations of 1 item per household would be welcomed.  We have purchased a new keyboard and PA system for the school recently and these funds will go towards these.  Doors open at 6pm on the 12th for the shows.    We are also having carols on the 19th at 10am.  Our musical pupils will be performing and p1 to 4 and p567 will also do a turn.  This will be in the school hall.  Happy weekend everyone!
