Pupils who were in P4/5/6 last year, took part in a competition run by The Archie Foundation. They were asked to illustrate a page for a book called, ‘Archie and Amanda’s Amazing Adventures,’ by author Alec Franks. The story is about a little girl in hospital and it is hoped it will be relatable to young patients at The Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
We were delighted to learn that Leah Sandiland’s (P6) picture has been selected for the book and is currently at the printers! There were hundreds of entries so huge congratulations to Leah!
All pupil entries will be displayed in Union Square, Aberdeen, over the weekend of 8th and 9th October, with Dunrossness entries being displayed on the 9th. The author will be doing live readings and copies of the book can be bought at the event. We hope to be sent a copy for us to see in school.
Well done to all the pupils who took part. Any one of you could have been a winner!
