Today we wrote a collaborate story as part of Digital Learning Scotland Week. Other schools wrote chapters 1-6. We wrote chapter 7. The main characters were Suze, Jeff and Mr . Morris. The other characters were Billy, Suze’s parents, Jessica and Paul. First we read the story and then we wrote chapter 7. The story spooked me out because the story is scary. I enjoyed writing the story with the class. Each day we will read other chapters which will be written by other schools.

The 2015 Cullivoe Up Helly Aa Jarl squad came to the school on the 26th. We had to get the chairs set up before they came and put them around the middle of the far room. We waited for the Jarl squad to come and they came at about 10.30. They all went around and then they sang the Up Helly Aa song. They then sang their song hat they made up and then we got to try on their outfits. They gave us Cream Eggs and then we gave them their present. We got a mini shield to put on the wall. When they left we went outside to wave them off and the musicians sang Bare Necessities into the bus. It was very funny.

Today the Jarl Squad(Up Helly Aa Vikings) came to our school. We waited in the far room for five minutes until the photographer and the band came in. The band played for a few minutes and the the Jarl(the leader of the squad) came in. They went around the circle twice and then they sung “For Grand Old Viking Centuries” and then the Jarl’s song which they change most years.
Then the pass along their Helmets, Axes and Shields and there is a lot of photos taken of us. I tried on the full equipment the shield, the helmet and the axe. Very quickly after all the trying on we got Cream eggs and a joint photo. Then the squad had to go to their bus to travel to the next place.
Two of the band members we slower out then the other two. The last two out sung and played The Bear Necessities all the way in to the bus. We waved as the bus pulled away. It was really fun having the Jarl Squad at our school. I all ready can’t wait for next year.

Today the Jarl squad came I held a helmet ,a shield and a very heavy axe I held it all in one go the helmet was falling off my head then they sung a song it was loud the Vikings came for half an hour it was really fun we got to keep a shield and put it up on our wall.

We are asked to make shields for the Cullivoe Up-Helly Aa. The colours were royal blue and silver, the theme is wolves. I was with Emer, we planned it in the technology books.
Today the Jarl squad came to the school for a visit. The Jarl squad sang a song when they are finished we had a go at wearing the helmet, shield and the axe. We had a group photo with the Jarl Squad and Hannah and I gave the Jarl a gift.

On Thursday the Cullivoe Jarl Squad came to visit. The Jarl Squad came into the classroom. We had some parents that came to see the Jarl Squad. They sang to us. Then we tried on some shields and helmates and holed the axes. On the Shields was a raven. The axes were really heavy. They were 3 Viking princesses. Then we always give the Jarl a present the youngest and the oldest because we always give the Jarl a present
. We enjoyed the Jarl squad coming to visit us.

We designed shields for Culivoe Up Helly ahh. The teachers chose who we were going to work with. I worked with Neil. Bradley wanted to work on his own. When Neil and me chose a design we had to draw it on the shield. Our design was a wolf with a viking helmet, beard, sword and axe. After that we had to very carefully paint the back round around the wolf. I painted a blue out line around the wolf so it was easy-er to paint a back round. When it had dried we painted the wolf silver avoiding painting the eyes and the mouth. The next day I got to finish Neil and my shield and I got to draw on half of Sofia’s shield. The reason why I got to draw on half of Sofia’s was because Bradley was going to work with Sofia but he wanted to work on his own. When Neil and my shield was done it looked really good.

We sat on the seats and chated while we waited.The musicians came in first then the Vikings came in as they sang.As they sang they stomped their feet and I got a shook under my chair.When they finished we went to them and tried helmets, horns, shields, axes and swords.We got cream eggs and photos.When they went we went outside to say goodbye and waved.

I was videoing them come in there was a mini band playing song as the Vikings came in. All of the Vikings gathered up and sang some songs. And then I got to try on some other peoples Viking gear I had all of the gear at one for a minute. I got allot of photos of taken and the we got cream eggs. This week we did science with Miss Smith and it was about our bodies and two weeks ago we drew around Sonia and Hannah and now P3 are drawing the inside of the body and the P1 and P2 is doing the outside of body.I learned words like liver and shin and lots of other parts and we draw them in the right parts in the right place it was really fun and we drew veins and arteries and a brain and bones and it took us ages and when we have done it then we are going to put it on the wall in the far room.

We have been doing maths in our maths books this week. I been doing multiplication and division in my maths book. I do two times table three times table. i been adding on to hundreds. I been doing hundreds in my maths book. I been doing matching up the sums whatever it says the answer it says. I been doing the hundreds tens and units and the nunber that is the number is bigger than ten. I been doing the least than ten. I been doing the halving in my maths jotter We been doing the chanting into tens fives two and they were two ways to counting in twos. they are an odd and even numbers. times tables is like counting in patterns. I have learned the four times table this week. we been doing scratch junior and hopscotch and move the turtle in programming.

We went to the playpark I had fun.And there was animals to . There were parrots, chikens,goats and rabbits. You can touch them.In the playpark there was a zipline to.We went to the hospital to eat something. After we still had time before the appoitment. So I played in the little zone for children in the eating place.then I got bored so we went to play in the place where am going to have my appoitment.I played Mario cart.After the appoitment we went shopping for dinner and breakfast.Before we found a shop in the shop was umbrellas and I got one with my own money the umbrella was pink with Elsa and Anna on it.We went home in our hotel wich was called Angus. Tomorrow we went by train to terminal 5.when we were going to land it was really windy we couldint land .the captain said we will land in 10 minuts it was really sharp landing but we managed.

On Tuesday’s we have been going to the hall for dancing session with Maria Leask. She has been teaching us Traditional dancing. Tuesday 10th was our last dance session. We did different dances like the Norwegian Polka, Valletta Waltz, Gay Gordan’s, Circassian Circle, Strip Da Willow, Grand Old Duke of York, Boston Two Step and The Wedding March. Most of the dances we did are dances we do at parties.
