Burravoe Primary School

On Monday we went to the swimming pool for my swimming lessons. First in the swimming pool we swam to the palm tree and back front crawl and then we swam back crawl we swam without boards and with boards.then we did floats I could do better with the  back float.After the floats we went to the deep end to swim from the deep end to the shallow end and walk on the side back and we swim again.At the deep end there was hoops and we had to swim from the side through the hoops and to the steps that was all we had to do.Then we swam from the deep end to the shallow end and to the showers and I got changed and we went home.

Yesterday we went down to the Marina to look at boats. We walked to the Pier and looked at the boats. We saw speed boats, pleasure boats, fishing boats and rowing boats. on our way back we saw the creels with the crabs and lobsters inside. Then we headed back to school to draw pictures. I drew a boat called the Elsie M after our dinner lady.

My dad bought a boat at its is very fun me and dad go fishing for mackerel and and trout we go out on runs the hole time and some times our dog come on with us and its really fun there a big cave we can go in and that water drips on your head and some time we see seals and we go to the salmon cages. We went for a sleep over on the boat and that was really fun and we had a picnic.

Before the summer holidays we wanted to have a den outside. So when it was a nice day we got out the blue tarpaulin and then instead of making a den we played with it. We played with it so it was a parachute we held it up and people ran under.  If there was only a few people at one side then other people had to run to that side otherwise the parachute would blow away. when we were packing it away every body had to sit on it so it didn’t blow away.

At sports day I likd the obstacle race.

it was sports day granny daa anjie and dad came.inside we went on a car it was a race.

We had sports day. We went into five groups. Tossing the caber was outside. The quad race was in the squash court with a toy quad. We were doing gymnastics with Lucy. We were doing golf. We were doing obstacles in the middle court.

On the last Thursday we had a sports day and It was fun. The theme was Scotland the first thing I did was drag racing two people went in a small quad and went as fast as you could to the end. Then I tossed a caber, I got quite far there was a heavy cardboard log that you had to throw with two hands. We did putting and chipping we tried to hit the target. There was an obstacle course and gymnastics.

First we did a car race in the squash court we took it in turns to go on the two cars and we saw  who was to get to the wall and back. Next we went outside to toss the caber me and Hannah  did not throw It far but It was fun joining in. Then we did golf. Then we did another race  we had to jump in the squares then with the space hopper we had to jump to the bench and then we had to balance on the bench then you had to go in the tunnel then you had to throw the bean bag back to your team. Then we did gymnastics with Lucy we only did hand stands and cart wheels.Then we did hula hoop gymnastics with Havana. After, Sports Day was finished.

Today is the last day of school but I am going to talk about the concert. The concert was so fun and my favourite part was doing the PHM. andco presentation, which was what we did with a teacher and it was to do with the rivers project and it was so fun but I also loved doing the play it was amazing. First we did the play and I introduced it and wrote it and it was called The Egg. Then Neil, Kerry, Sonia and Honor read out some of their poems and pieces of writing. Kerry and Mia played some tunes on their fiddles and they were amazing! After they finished then the little ones did some French songs and some of them they sung in English too. Then it was the PHM. and co presentation and everyone loved that! After we’d finished P7 did a presentation on their years in Burravoe from P1-P7. Then most of us sung and danced to Happy by Pharrel Williams. Then we did the prize giving, Mia and Leah got the music cups and we all got certificates. We sung the Trowie song at the end. The night was so fun and I had a great time doing it!

On Wednesday we had a summer concert at the school and lots of our relations came. The first thing we did was do our short drama that Phoebe wrote. The drama was about a school and the teacher turned into a chicken. Afterwards some people read poems that they wrote during school time. Kerry and Mia played the fiddle. P1 2 and 3 sang some French songs that they learned during our French lessons. Phoebe, Honor and Melissa did a presentation. P7 did a presentation about their years at Burravoe School. Then we sang a danced to Pharrell Williams Happy. Then we got handed out our certificates for this year. The last thing sing the Trowie Song.
