On Thursday we went to the Music Festival in Midyell. There was Samba music and Beat boxing. A man taught us Samba music, it comes from Brazil. The instruments we used were tambourines, big drums, small drums, shakers, spring board, chimes and little egg shakers. We played a song alltogether which they play at the yearly Brazilian Festival. There was different parts for every instrument. Everybody thought different instruments were difficult to play.
Hobbit taght us how to Beat box. Beat boxing is percussion with mouth and throat. He beat boxed his own song at the beginning of the lesson and he was really good. He could make a sound like an ambulance siren and a boat horn. He said bogus and then everyone looked shocked but he said it to teach us how to say something beat boxers use in songs. The basic sounds are B K T. We also made up our own tunes in a group of five. Btbbtb btbt that was the basic rhythm of the girls song.

Today we went to Bonhoga to see The Royal Photography Society exhibition, some had been edited and some hadn’t. There was a picture of a person dressed up so that you couldn’t see her face but when you looked in the mirror you could see her face. There was also a picture of a lady and if you move the eyes seem to follow you. The picture called “I’m coming to get you” was very strange it had loads of pipes for arms and a sink for the head. My favourite picture was of a very bright coloured desert with trees and plants called The Urban Desert. I also liked Recycling Tree I thought that it was very clever because it was a tree with plastic containers hanging from it. End of Season was very good as well because it had nice blue colours on it. Plover with Shell was pretty because the bird was positioned with one of it’s legs up and the other one down. There was a picture called Earth-forest Sunset and it looked like thunder mountain. There was also a picture of a man with a snake around his neck and it was called Intimate.

We went to Bonhoga and saw some photos at the cafe first and then we went up the stairs and looked at all the photos on the wall. some of them had been tampered with like making a sink into a sink monster and all the famous buildings on a pipe on a bit of ground. There was a very nice bench that had been donated I liked it because it had a lot of knots that had been varnished and bendy so it looked really nice. We went for juice and biscuits at the cafe and went to the toilet. We went to the top gallery once more because my favourite ones are the Recycling Tree, Animal Tracks, Earth Forest, Song of a Fisherman and Pigeon Fancier.

Next we went up the stairs and we saw a few pictures they’re was one that looked like somebody off an advert and another one with a lonely looking wood which had a name called Untitled. Next we went to the last room and had a quick look around and then we went downstairs in to the café. We got some biscuits and a drink. Then we went back upstairs and we looked at more nice photos. We went to Bonhoga gallery to see some photos that could of been edited or not. First we went down stairs to the café. In the cafe my favorite picture was called Recycling Tree because it was clever. It had bottles hanging from the branches. I didn’t like Split Persanality because the ears were stretched because of ear rings and the mohauk was hard. Next we went to the stairs and looked at some pictures. I liked the picture with the fire brigade rescuing a man on a stretcher. On the top floor there was a photo of a sink with a human body with pipe arms and legs. I liked that one. I walked on to a picture called untitled, I think it should be called the Magic Window because on the mirror the reflection is different. We went to the café for a quick snack then went to the top floor. There was a picture of a child cooking a big meal in China called Super Shef.

Today we had exciting news from New Zealand; Magnie, our class whale, has arrived at St Clair School in Dundedin. He has made the long journey to have a holiday with the Super7Scoopers. It looks as though he is already having a great time and is the lead item in their very first scoop!

We are doing Mario Cart, there is a wiki on glow to see how we are getting on. There are going to be two teams who are going to be set tasks and have to do them at their school and put it on the wiki and they can phone each other up and glow meet.

The Questions of a 11 year old kid.
Bedroom Cleaning
“I’ll do it later mam!” I said.
“No, clean your bedroom now! That’s an order young missy!”
Yes that’s right; my mam says I have to clean my room when she has a room that looks likes an ant hill! Except hers is made with all her clothes not mud or sand. My room has a few magazines sprawled around the floor and a few socks and that is nothing compared to what she has lying on her bedroom floor.
I argued back (but now down stairs in the kitchen where she looked like she was Frying a sheep’s ear) “How come parents always say to do this and do that when you don’t even do what you are telling us to do. By the way what are you cooking? It looks like a sheep’s ear!”
She replied “It is a small fried piltock, I think, and you know I am not a good cook.
“Mam, The answer to the question?”
“We do, do what we tell you to do, we just do it differently.” Answered my mam.
“Well How? I never see you tiding your room like a normal mam or keeping it clean so you don’t have to spend a WHOLE day tidying it up like a kid so what do you do!”
“What is up with all this questions you keep asking me? First of all, why we are only allowed to wear pants and socks for one day and a T – shirt for two! I told you and you went and wrote a story about it! You are turning Nuts!” Mam said getting a higher tone in her voice.
“Mam, What about your room it is as messy as the skip at the Burravoe Pier!”
“Well what we do, is to do it whenever we have time. In the morning it is out of bed at seven, get dressed and have breakfast before I go to work and in the afternoon I have work till five before I come home. After that I have to make the tea for six and do the washing up and stuff like that. I also want a rest at times. When you’re a woman you’ll understand that life is always on the go, you can never hang about.
I moaned “I don’t want to be a woman when I am older.”
I replied again except sounding happier “So you do it if you have time? AAAAHHHHH but you don’t get a lot of time to do it, so your bedroom stays a heap.”
“Yes that right Hunny” Mam said looking up at me from frying her piltocks.
“Thanks Mam” I said while I ran up to my bedroom to type up our conversation to help my followers on my website about the question that you can sometimes never get answers too.
