Iain Clark – Scottish Parliament

On Wednesday 13th of March Iain Clark from Scottish Parliament came for the afternoon to talk about how the Scottish Parliament works and where it is. After we got Clickapads to answer questions for quizzes. After we chose a party to represent; they were the Music Party and The Animal Welfare Party. After we had to come up with two reasons why we need to be elected. After we chose a Presiding Officer. The Presiding Officer had a wooden hammer called a gaveland he will bang it when a new law has passed/fallen. We did a debate if we should do an hour of PE Everyday. The groups had to think why it is a good thing and why it was a bad thing. Then after everybody voted it is good or not. It was yes. Then after it had to be sent to the Queen to be made into a law. It had to have a royal seal on it to keep it protected. Then it was sent back to the Parliament.
