Our Viking Workshop at the Museum

When we were doing our Viking project we went to the Lerwick Museum to learn a bit more about the Vikings, first we went into the learning room and we talked to a lady called Yvonne and then we went on a tour around all the Viking things. We looked at artifacts like Viking jewellery, bowls, crofting equipment and many more things.

Then we went back into the learning room to collect our worksheets and they were really fun, because all you had to do was go back to the Viking exhibition and draw the patterns on the Viking jewellery and Viking objects and then we got to design our own rune Viking plaque. Then once again we went back to the learning room to make things out of clay. You could make a Thor’s hammer pendant or a Viking rune pendant or both, I made both I really enjoyed our trip to the museum it was really fun.
