The Swan 2015

On Wednesday 13th May we went on the Swan. I learned about the reason you turn the coil over after you do it is because its easier to undo it. We had to shout 2,6 PULL 2,6 PULL until we had gotten the sail up and down. The wind was blowing us onto the side slightly so we got splashed by the water a lot. When we were having a go at steering the boat we went by the light house in the distance and we had to make sure we could pretty much see it to make sure we were going straight. We had to tuck the sail under the crease and then tie it up ready for the people. We were looking at the echo sounder and we learned about how it sends a sound under the water and it measures by the echo how deep the water is. It was on a screen and it changed the whole time. We watched it for a while. We saw lots of wildlife like: a gannet,  oyster catcher, bonxies, seagulls and tysties. We went out for 1 hour 45 minutes from 11.15 – 1.00.
