Pantomime

Yesterday with the youth club, we went to see the pantomime in Lerwick. The pantomime was Sleeping Beauty, the wild west version. We were meant to go last Friday but it was terrible weather so the ferries wern’t running so we changed our tickets! We had to go on a bus to get to the Garrison which is where we were going to watch the pantomime. I sat at a table with Brydon and Lucy. We went on the ferry to go across the Sound.

The pantomime was different because it was the wild west version. Instead of being a princess Sleeping Beauty was the mayor’s daughter and was called Briar Rose. She fell asleep because a cactus pricked her and instead of a handsome prince it was a cowboy. We also had to sing at the end of the pantomime Zipadeedoodah. My favourite character was one of the goofy brothers.
