January 2024: Our new MUSIC HEROES project launches in primary schools across South Ayrshire.
All children in Primary 3 across South Ayrshire will take part in our new Music Heroes project which launched in January 2024. The project aims to support children to develop confidence in the foundational music skills of pitch and rhythm. Twenty schools are taking part in this first phase, with a further 21 scheduled for later in the year.
January 2024: Our new UNITED BY SOUND project launches for ASN pupils.
Young people in Southcraig School will have an opportunity to explore a range of musical instruments, exploring and creating sound.

YMI in Session 2022/23 – Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the YMI Programme
Over the past 20 years the Instrumental Music Service in South Ayrshire has received YMI formula funding from Scottish Government (administered by Creative Scotland) to support class music projects in primary schools across the authority.
