Our structured orchestra programme ensure young people can develop and extend their music making skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. Your child’s instructor / tutor will recommend which orchestra is most suited to support your child’s musical progression.
- Junior String Orchestra (Grade 0-3)
- Intermediate String Orchestra (Grade 3-5)
- Senior String Orchestra (Grade 5 and above)
In 2024-25, over 180 children and young people are taking part in our string orchestras.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION
All orchestras rehearse on a Thursday, 5.30-7.15pm in Queen Margaret Academy, Ayr
The Orchestras’ Concert will take place in Ayr Town Hall on Wednesday 19 February 2025. Tickets will be on sale through the Ayr Gaiety website.
A senior Symphony Orchestra will take place in the summer term, 2025.
