A huge well done goes to our P6 class for organising and leading our Shoe Box appeal to collect items for young people in the Ukraine for Christmas. They wrote letters, put up posters in the local area and even put together a radio advert. Thank you to everyone who donated to this important cause.

Holmston – a FairAware school
Well done to our P4 Fair Trade ambassadors for leading our work in Fair Trade. As a result of their continued commitment, Holmston is now a FairAware school.
We hope you can join us next Friday (9th March) at 1.45pm as we unveil our playground charters and then move into the classrooms to share our Fair Trade journey so far. (Further details will be sent out)

Red Nose Day

Thank-you to everyone who made donations today or purchased a red nose earlier in the week. In our assembly today we found out about how our money is used both abroad and at home. We also learned the School Red Nose song “Put a Nose on It!”. Here are some pictures from our assembly.

is year we will be raising money for Comic Relief. We will be having a Non-Uniform Day, which will take place on Friday, the 24th of March 2017. Pupils who wish to take part are asked to pay a donation of £1 (voluntary) and dress up in red.
Red noses will go on sale at Holmston from Wednesday, 15th March 2017 for £1.00.
